This weekend I did absolutely nothing but work on new product for the store. My fingertips are not happy with all the studding I did, who needs pliers when you have fingernails ?! But the restock was a long time coming and I am really please with the results.
Feast your eyes…
This was just a little preview.. head on over to the store to check out the full range.

PS How do you like my new branding for the store? The name ‘Unraveled’ is kind of fitting I think.
I found this feature on Honestly WTF and had to repost. This concept is frickin amazing. A fancy French hotel commissions new artists and graphic designers each year to redesign their rooms. This one was done by artist Tilt.. I’m sure I would have some wacky dreams sleeping in that room. Loving his use of colour and the fact that they divided the room, bed and dresser completely down the center.
Did my pretty cupcake photos distract you from the fact that I haven’t posted in about hmmm 3 months?
I thought so.
I missed you guys, so I wanted to share my delightful cupcakes with you. These are no ordinary cupcakes. No . Although they are box mix, they still are definitely not your average cupcakes. These are special. Special in the way that they have an ENTIRE, DOUBLE PACK of Tim Tam goodness crunched up inside of them. Check this page if you are a little hazy on your Tim Tam knowledge.
Fun Fact: According to Arnott’s, around 35 million packs are sold each year. An average of approximately 1.7 packs per Australian.
Down to business.. So it’s as easy as making your box mix as instructed, then adding the blended, crushed up Tim Tams to the batter before your pour it into the cupcake pans. Don’t blemd them too much, you still want some nice chunks in there. Just a few seconds is good.I know there is an elephant in the room that I obviously need to address, that being the prettiest pink frosting I have ever seen. It is a Raspberry Buttercream folks, made with fresh, sweet and tangy raspberries. This frosting took the cupcakes to the next level. You can find the recipe I used here.I made these a few weeks back for Valentines Day They were a hit.
Anyone who is on Pinterest has probably seen this DIY. It’s made the rounds But I LOVE the idea because it’s so damn easy! And makes for great gifts. I made two for my workmates at Christmas. Here’s what you will need:
- Large plate (I found mine at a swap meet for $1)
- Sturdy Wine glass with a wide opening (the opening of the glass will become your cake stand base, so the wider, the more stable)
- Resin (the glue that you mix hardner into, found at all hardware stores)
- Paint (both spraypaint and acrylic)
- Clear gloss sealant spray
- Old wirey/destroyed paintbrush
1. First of all clean your plate and glass well.
2. Next mix together your resin and hardner, you will need to work quickly now as it will harden quite quickly.
3. Turn your plate upside down and place your wine glass (right side up) in the center. This is where you will need to brush the resin. Now take the glass off, pour some resin where the glass was, and place the wineglass on top. You will need to get creative here and try to pour some resin over top of the base of the wineglass, so it really gets covered. The more resin you can use to connect the two, the stronger it will be. Let the resin dry overnight.4. Now your cake stand is ready for painting. Give it a few coats of spray paint of your choice, then let that dry well.
5. Take the old, worn out paintbrush and lightly dip the tips into the acrylic paint of your choice. Lightly brush this all over the cake stand, you are trying to acheive a vintage, worn out look with this. The messier and more random, the better! Let this dry. (If you don’t want a vintage look and you are happy with the solid spraypaint, then skip this step)
6. Seal your cake stand with a clear gloss sealant. Voila!
I’m alive, I’m alive, I promise. I took a little break from bloggity world, but it feels good to be back.

Oh and I made everyone wear these turkey hats. Tis the season.Next up, we had our first day on the mountain. Pretty good conditions considering it was still November..I fell in love with this view.. from the top of the chairlift, while standing on snow, you could see the ocean and Catalina Island. Best of both worlds. We had a visit from family and FINALLY made the trip to Disneyland. Good times.Christmas came early for me.. Thanks Mum and Cath!In other news my Etsy shop is really taking off, so I’ve been busy restocking that.. (Christmas is around the corner peeps!!)Hope everyone is well and looking forward to the holiday season. I need to get my game face on this week- 4 Christmas functions to go to! Wish me luck.
First of all I wanted to apologise for my lack of posts.. I have been crazy busy with the new job, and my Etsy shop growing. Leaves me little time to blog. So you won’t see me on here as frequently as I was. I will still be posting but only when I have something that is REALLY worth sharing – Crafty projects, great recipes, and fun tutorials like this one!:
Deconstructed garments seems to be a big thing in fashion right now- the more ripped, washed down, older it is, the better. I’m a fan of this trend. I especially love ‘shredding’ and have used it on a few tops in my Etsy store. Essentially you are pulling apart the knit of the fabric. Here is a top I did over the weekend (available here)-I get a lot of questions about how I do it, so I found this tutorial on you tube..
Nothing beats a baked potato in my book. And these baked potatoes are fannnncy. Stuffed with thin slices of garlic and onion. Sprinkled with rosemary. Yum.I found these ones on Pinterest, and went with it..And yes, it does slightly bother me that these things look like large caterpillars, or critter of some sort. Eat with your eyes closed.
These are my recent purchases from Forever 21. The skirt is a little different, but same concept, black flowy maxi skirt.I am so into textures and prints right now. These cheetah print jeans have been on my wish list for a while now. All this for about $80. Can’t beat it.
